Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Insulator to install pipe insulation and jacketing on active construction sites.

You will use hand and power tools to meet technical specs and help improve energy efficiency, with extensive travel required across North America. The role requires 2+ years in industrial insulation, ability to read schematics, and comfort working in extreme temperatures in full PPE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial pipe insulation.
• Ability to read insulation schematics and technical drawings.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Must be able to travel extensively and work on construction sites.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
• Comfort working in extreme temperatures while wearing full PPE.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install pipe insulation for various piping systems.
• Apply vapor barriers, dams, and secure jacketing (aluminum or PVC).
• Operate tools such as bending brakes, band saws, and banding tools.
• Fabricate insulation kits for valves, fittings, and rotating equipment.
• Follow installation drawings and safety requirements on site.
