Job summary

Phillips 66 Midstream seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to support pipeline equipment maintenance and calibration at the Del Valle, TX office near Austin. The role involves independent work with operations personnel to ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance.

You will perform planned maintenance, calibrations, and documentation, manage spare parts, and assist with pump installations while adhering to DOT/OSHA rules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, analyzers, valves, transmitters, motor controls, and industrial communication systems.
• Experience using test equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, loop calibrators, or HART communicators.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, electrical safe-work practices, hazardous-area equipment, and process-safety requirements.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work extended hours as needed.
• Live/relocate within 45 minutes of Del Valle/Austin Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and rotating equipment installation.
• Conduct planned maintenance checks and calibrations, maintaining documentation.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and stay within budget.
• Assist in pump teardown/rebuilds and new installations.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in emergency response efforts.
• Supervise and train contract crews on maintenance and construction.
• Read and understand P&IDs and pipeline measurement documentation.
• Maintain technical and administrative records and project reports.
