Job summary

Mine Equipment & Design, LLC is seeking an Industrial Instrumentation & Controls Technician in Lakeland, FL. This journeyman-level field role installs, maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots instrumentation and control systems at heavy industrial facilities.

The candidate should read diagrams, configure instruments, perform loop testing, and support PLC/DCS/HMI systems. A strong safety focus and the ability to work independently in active sites are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive industrial instrumentation experience.
• Experience reading P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.
• Ability to calibrate, troubleshoot, and commission instrumentation in live environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instruments that measure process variables.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, diagrams, and control narratives.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and generate calibration records.
• Coordinate with controls engineers and customers to ensure reliability and safety.
