Job summary

Mid State Machine in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Industrial Instrumentation & Controls Technician. The role involves installing, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation, control systems, and associated electrical equipment at heavy industrial facilities.

You will read P&IDs, diagnose complex control problems, and support commissioning, shutdowns, and startups. Requirements include five years of instrumentation/controls experience, ability to work independently, and familiarity with safety

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive industrial instrumentation and controls experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs and loop diagrams.
• Must be able to troubleshoot control loops and field instrumentation.
• Ability to safely work in active heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instruments measuring process variables.
• Service transmitters, sensors, valves, and associated cabling.
• Read and interpret electrical and process documentation and schematics.
• Coordinate with controls engineers and customers for commissioning and start-up.
