Job summary

M2X Energy Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation Commissioning Technician to support startup and readiness of modular biogas to methanol systems.

You will validate instrumentation and controls at factory and project sites, perform loop checks, calibrations, wiring verification, and I/O checkout to ensure compliance with design and performance specs. Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on instrumentation experience in industrial environments.
• Proficiency calibrating pressure, temperature, and flow instruments.
• Ability to read P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with 4-20mA, thermocouples, and discrete signals.
• Familiarity with PLC I/O verification via HMI/SCADA.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60–70%.
• Valid driver''s license.

Responsibilities

• Execute field wiring verification and continuity checks against as-built drawings and instrument schedules.
• Perform instrument loop checks across signal types (thermocouples, RTDs, pressure transmitters, flow meters, level switches, discrete I/O).
• Configure and verify field instruments including zero/span calibration and unit assignment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrument/configuration issues.
• Conduct valve stroke tests and verify positioner setup and calibration.
• Verify PLC I/O mapping against instrument list.
• Support site integrations and instrument installation in the field.
