Avantor in Puerto Rico seeks an Electronics/Instrumentation technician to perform regular calibration of liquid handling instruments, maintain equipment, and provide technical support to customers across the island. Travel to customer sites, adapt equipment to user needs, and document repairs are key duties.

The role requires 2 years of related experience, a degree in electronics/instrumentation/chemistry, and strong problem-solving abilities with bilingual proficiency preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s/Associate degree in Electronics, Instrumentation or Chemistry preferred.
• 2 years related technical experience required.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, IQ/OQ/PV, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration to process, scales and balances, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Analytical skills – understands implications of new information for problem-solving and decisions.
• Fully bilingual preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Travels to customer site to provide services (installations, maintenance or calibrations).
• Adapts equipment and technology to user needs.
• Provides technical support to customers related to instrumentation.
• Documents and reports all repairs and product failures.
• Provides equipment and improvements recommendations.
• Develops preventative maintenance procedures, IQ, OQ and PQ for the division.
• Executes testing and calibration programs for instruments per specifications.
• Diagnoses equipment failures and repairs per manufacturers guidelines.
• Maintains technical skills through ongoing certification and education.
• Trains customers on how to use the equipment.
