Job summary

Jobot is seeking a BDA Field Install Technician to install, test, and commission in-building radio systems across commercial facilities. You will handle BDA/DAS/ERRCS work, perform RF testing, and coordinate with project teams on site. This role requires field competence, safety focus, and strong problem-solving in active construction environments.

Qualifications

• Experience installing or servicing BDA/DAS/ERRCS or related building systems.
• FCC license and RES license required; NICET preferred.
• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, signal strength and coaxial cabling.
• Experience using RF/signal-testing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently in field environments.
• Comfort working on commercial construction sites with multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission BDA, ERRCS, DAS equipment in buildings.
• Run cables, terminate, route, label and connect components.
• Perform signal testing and coverage verification.
• Diagnose RF issues, interference and equipment faults.
• Configure system components to achieve required signal levels.
• Read and implement construction drawings and specs.
• Coordinate field activities with project teams and contractors.
• Assist with system startup, acceptance testing, and turnover.
• Document completed work, testing results, and field conditions.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized jobsite.
• Provide ongoing service, maintenance, upgrades and repairs as needed.
• Ensure installations meet codes and AHJ requirements.
