Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Construction Inspector – Water/Wastewater/Pipeline in Farmington, NM, to provide field inspection and construction oversight for water and wastewater projects. You will verify work against plans, specs, permits, and codes while coordinating with engineers, clients, and utility owners.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of inspection experience, strong reading of drawings, and travel willingness to Nevada sites. The role supports day/night shifts and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience with water, wastewater, pipelines, or other utilities.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites throughout Nevada, as required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect ongoing construction activities for compliance with plans and permits.
• Inspect water, wastewater, and other utility pipelines and related infrastructure.
• Inspect pump stations, treatment facilities, manholes, vaults, and related assets.
• Document pipeline testing, pressure testing, flushing, disinfection, and QA/QC activities.
• Review plans, submittals, RFIs, and changes for contract compliance.
• Monitor materials and equipment on site and verify conformity.
• Maintain daily inspection reports with photos and observations.
• Assist with documentation, quantity verification, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Support meetings, inspections, closeout activities, and punch lists.
• Be available for day or night shifts and weekends if required.
