Job summary

AmSpec Group in Signal Hill, CA is seeking entry level trainee inspector who will eventually perform basic field inspection and sampling, complete required paperwork, and ensure proper sample distribution while maintaining timely communications with the office staff.

The role requires willingness to work outdoors, willingness to travel to terminals and vessels, read and follow API/IFIA procedures, and to be available for 24x7 shifts with safety training and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or related industry experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Complete safety and orientation training to access facilities.
• Shadow senior inspector and learn basic inspection and sampling.
• Follow API/IFIA procedures and customer policies.
• Perform basic field inspection and sampling: measure, sample, calculate volume.
• Prepare and distribute field reports to vessels, terminals and office.
• Coordinate sample transport and paperwork with office.
• Attend safety meetings and be available for 24x7 shifts.
