Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Elevator License is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or Engineering is preferred.
• Certification in safety inspection or related area is a plus.
• Experience with risk assessment and hazard analysis is desirable.

Full or Part Time positions are available in the Code & Construction Depart for Elevator Inspectors. This position involves conducting thorough inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify any potential hazards or violations. The Field Inspector will be responsible for documenting findings and providing actionable recommendations to improve safety and operational efficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for performing technical inspections and witnessing tests to ensure strict adherence to the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code (UCC) standard for New Jersey, enforcing subcode regulations. Performing inspections for new and existing installations within the South Jersey Areas.
