BOCA Group International in Nevada is seeking a part-time field inspector to perform elevator and escalator evaluations, verify conformance with codes and client requirements, and note deficiencies with recommended upgrades.
The role requires extensive elevator knowledge, strong verbal communication, and a professional demeanor when interacting with owners, building personnel, and contractors. Travel may be required to complete assessments and follow-up.
Part-time inspector in Nevada to perform elevator/escalator evaluations/inspections and check conformance with code requirements, specifications, and/or client requests, noting elevator/escalator deficiencies and code violations. Provide recommendations for future upgrades.
Perform annual inspection and witness full load 5 tests/filling out the necessary paperwork
Perform maintenance evaluations/fill out the necessary paperwork
Perform maintenance re-evaluations/filling out the necessary paperwork
Perform construction service evaluations/fill out the necessary paperwork
Perform general consulting evaluation/formulating report on findings and recommended corrections
Perform due diligence surveys/fill out the necessary paperwork
Perform other evaluations as assigned
Attend monthly meetings with Regional Manager
Take notes and follow up on directives provided by Regional Manager
Attend continuing education seminars
Travel as needed
Must be able to adapt to new technology used for field operations
Responsible to track and report billable hours
Communicate with supervisors and managers
Perform other duties as assigned

The field inspector must continue to improve their elevator knowledge associated with, but not limited to, national and local codes, national and local testing procedures, jurisdictional processes, and new technology.

Possess the knowledge of an Elevator Mechanic. Obtain the required Local and QEI elevator licenses. Organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills are also necessary for this position.
