Job summary

Alfred H Knight is seeking a General Inspector to join our inspection team in Longview, Texas. You will verify client instructions at designated locations, perform sampling tasks, and ensure compliance with our inspection procedures while communicating findings to clients.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capability to work independently as well as with a team. Travel to remote sites may be required, and a valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in material sampling and inspection practices.
• TWIC card preferred; ability to pass background and security checks.
• Able to lift to 50 lbs and work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manual Tasks: Performing a variety of physical tasks, including sampling and weighing operations.
• Tool and Equipment Operation: Operating hand tools and power tools as needed.
• Following Instructions: Adhering to instructions and procedures provided by supervisors or project leaders.
• Safety Compliance: Maintaining a safe work environment and wearing PPE.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry and move heavy objects and stand or walk for extended periods.
