Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to support Senior Inspectors in oversight of roadway and bridge projects. You will review plans, monitor quality, and assist with material testing while documenting findings.

The role requires reading construction documents, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for night/weekend work. GDOT certifications or equivalent training are preferred, with a competitive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 2+ years roadway/bridge inspection experience
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 5+ years of relevant inspection experience
• High school diploma with 7+ years of roadway/bridge inspection experience or equivalent training

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors in construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specs, and shop drawings.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with quality standards and specs.
• Conduct field audits of ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage systems per project requirements.
• Observe material sampling/testing (soils, aggregate, asphalt, concrete).
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document inspection findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold safety practices in all construction activities.
