Job summary

Keish Environmental is seeking an experienced General Construction Inspector for Long Beach and the Los Angeles area. This field-based role supports major infrastructure projects with prevailing wage on California sites, starting Spring/Summer 2027.

You will lead inspections across public and private works, monitor stormwater compliance, review safety practices, and document findings. Strong knowledge of building systems is essential; CA PE is preferred.

Qualifications

4+ years of direct construction inspection experience on highways or public works projects.
Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, earthwork, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and extended field shifts as required.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Independently inspect infrastructure projects to ensure construction aligns with plans, specs, and codes.
Conduct daily site visits (95% field-based), attend meetings, and maintain detailed inspection records.
Monitor stormwater (CGP), SWPPP/BMP compliance, and environmental controls.
Review site safety practices, construction techniques, and schedule adherence.
Perform and interpret field tests; verify materials and workmanship.
Document findings, redline as-builts, and track all aspects of construction for compliance.
Identify risks and propose sound engineering solutions in real-time.
