Why You’ll Want to Join Our Team as a Field Inspector

As an employee at Real Property Management, you are a part of a collaborative team. You will be responsible for handling work orders in an efficient, punctual, and respectful manner.

You will get to put your skills to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Our focus is on building relationships, not “tenants and toilets”. We want our residents to love where they live and our owners to love their investment. This means we need team members who take pride in their work and their customer service.

Your Responsibilities As a Field Inspector
  • Conduct routine and scheduled field inspections of managed properties to assess overall condition, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards and lease requirements.
  • Serve as the “eyes and ears” of the company in the field by identifying maintenance issues, safety hazards, unauthorized occupants, and lease violations.
  • Document inspection findings through detailed reports, including photos, notes, and recommendations, and submit them promptly using company systems.
  • Create a Make Ready Inspection Estimate from Move Out Inspections to provide clear, accurate and clean details on repairs needed for property to be in rent ready condition.
  • Install, maintain, track and retrieve code boxes/lockboxes to ensure secure access for authorized personnel, leasing agents, and vendors.
  • Place, adjust, and remove “For Rent” signage to support leasing efforts and maintain consistent brand presentation.
  • Verify property readiness for showings, including exterior presentation, signage visibility, and access functionality.
  • Support Utility Management Analyst with Utility Deposits, Activations or Deactivations.
  • Coordinate with property managers, maintenance teams, and vendors to report issues and follow up on corrections.
  • Conduct move-in/move-out/make ready/semi-annual and vacancy inspections to assess property condition and identify required repairs or cleaning.
  • Maintain accurate schedules and efficiently plan daily routes to maximize productivity across assigned zones.
  • Interact professionally with tenants, neighbors, and the public while representing the company in the field.
  • Perform basic field tasks as needed (e.g., minor adjustments to signage or securing property access points).
  • Placing Notices for Abandonment or Lease Violations
  • Immediately elevate urgent issues such as safety risks, property damage, or security concerns.
  • Monitor and track Key Performance Indicators for improved company performance.
To Be Successful in this Role

You view every interaction as an opportunity to grow relationships.

You’re willing to learn everything you can about property management and the full process of how we do it at Real Property Management.

You enjoy leading a team, solving problems, and helping an organization become great.
