TEKsystems is seeking a Construction Inspector for the Abilene, TX area. This contract role requires fieldwork daily, reading prints and diagrams with station numbers and lat/long, and ensuring compliance with Right of Ways and utility easements.

You will work onsite, inspect underground fiber installations, coordinates with subcontractors and clients, and use laptops, GIS maps, and other field tools to document progress and resolve issues.

Qualificações

• Experience in underground fiber/telecom construction or inspection.

Description

The ideal Construction Inspector needs to be able to perform the following duties on a daily basis in the field:

• High familiarity and/or experienced in reading prints and diagrams utilizing station #'s and lat/long identifiers.
• Strong familiarity with Right of Ways and/or Utility easements
• Strong competent and/or experienced with laptops, spreadsheets, cell phones, GIS maps or other electronic tools in an outside environment.
• Experienced in underground utility design, oversight, or inspection.
• Have you ever encountered interaction with irate sub-contractors, general contractors, clients and/or Joe Q public, if so how did you negotiate and/or defuse the situation.
• Long Haul or Middle Mile underground Fiber Inspection

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
