Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an OSP/underground labor support specialist for a contract-to-hire role based in White Marsh, MD. The position focuses on 75% field work—underground excavation, trenching, digging, locating, drill support—and 25% CDL-driven truck operations, loading and unloading equipment.

Ideal candidates range from junior laborer to qualified operator, with CDL A preferred or CDL B. Onsite work, safety-focused team environment, with benefits and a path to permanent hire.

Description

Our client is one of the largest Telecommunication Vendors in DMV and has a large present across the East Coast. They provide full turnkey solutions for both wireless and wireline sectors. Their wireless sectors are split up into a few groups, but ultimately support the major carriers (TMO, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Dish Network, and Crown Castle). Their wireline/OSP underground typically support builds for the wireless carriers in addition to energy and government customers for grid modernization and rural broadband efforts.

This position will be supporting the OSP for both wireline and wireless sectors. The Specialist will be working with underground telecommunications/utility excavation, trenching, boring, and ultimately OSP construction in general. Their main support role will be OSP construction field support not limited to digging, trenching, locating, drill support, etc. (75%) and 25% running the truck from a CDL perspective and helping the guys perform the loading and offloading equipment not limited to filed support including Pole Mounts, Base Units, Generator, Restoration Material, etc.

Ideally we are looking for a resource that can be JR laborer to qualified operator/locator to support their growing team. A very nice to have for this opportunity is a CDL A (preferred) or CDL B.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Marsh, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
