Job summary

RJN Group Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician 1 to assist with field inspection services in sanitary and storm sewers and to contribute to data analysis and quality control. The role will involve data input, editing, and reporting under supervision of Managers and Project Engineers.

The position requires strong math and analytical skills, familiarity with data management, and proficiency with Excel and Word. Office and field work with potential overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Planning or Environmental Science or equivalent degree.
• Or at least 2 years applicable experience in place of BS degree.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with data management functions such as backup, archive, restoration, merging and editing.

Responsibilities

• Conduction of field inspection services such as manhole inspection, smoke testing, flow monitoring, and dyed water flooding including confined space entry work.
• Assist with maintaining and cleaning equipment and vehicles to ensure safe, productive work.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures contained in the RJN Group, Inc. Safety Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Processes project information by compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information.
• Follow standard processes for routine data QC and processing.
• Analyze data or information by identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information.
• Travel and work overtime as required.
• Other projects as assigned.
