Job summary

Ecorobotix Inc. is seeking a Regional Crop Imaging & Data Technician for the Southcentral region (South Texas / Rio Grande Valley). The role is part-time, field-based, and involves capturing crop images with our steady-cam system, managing field data, and coordinating permits.

You will work outdoors across McAllen–Laredo and surrounding areas, building relationships with growers, traveling up to 80% of the time, and supporting AI model training for precision agriculture solutions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Interest in agricultural botany or crops is a plus.
• Ability to work independently outdoors in varying weather and travel-heavy schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and build relationships with horticultural producers and farmers in the Southcentral region to identify fields, capture crop images, and obtain permits.
• Capture high-quality images using in-house steady-cam equipment and document crop evolution for AI datasets.
• Maintain imaging and data collection gear in good condition.
• Prepare field reports and stay informed about regional crop plans and practices.
• Travel 50–80% within the region, with occasional travel outside as needed, primarily field-based outdoor work.
