Job summary

Range is seeking an entry-level Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to support the Production Operations group on producing well pads. You will assist with instrumentation, electronics, communication and automation equipment, coordinating with Engineering, Construction, Production, Gas Control and SCADA to keep operations safe and reliable.

You will perform routine calibration and maintenance, troubleshoot anomalies, document work, and learn the equipment used across the facilities.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in Engineering Technology, Information Technology or related field.
• Oil & Gas experience is required.
• 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and reliability of instrumentation, electronics, controls, telecom and power systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot anomalies and participate in on-call rotation.
• Document all work activities and changes.
• Comply with regulatory, environmental and safety standards and policies.
• Learn equipment operation, calibration and maintenance methods.
• Manage a route of well pads and perform semiannual ESD tests.
• Monitor SCADA and powerat sites, respond to abnormal conditions.
• Design, test and deploy RTU/PLC code modifications for safety and control.
• Troubleshoot custom control logic in RTUs.
• Use Hart communicator and multimeter to diagnose transmitter issues and replace as needed.
