Job summary

Alpha Hire is seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to support commercial, industrial, and municipal facilities along the Gulf Coast. The role covers installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of HVAC control and BAS systems in a field-based setting.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with DDC controls, low-voltage systems, and commercial HVAC equipment, and can work independently while coordinating with project managers, engineers, and customers to ensure

Qualifications

2+ years of experience installing or servicing HVAC controls, BAS, DDC controls, or related low-voltage systems.
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC equipment, control strategies, and system operation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, commission, and service HVAC controls and BAS.
Start up controllers, verify points, inspect wiring, test systems.
Troubleshoot DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, networks, and related devices.
Read control drawings and sequences of operation for projects.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and communication issues.
Support commissioning, optimization, and performance verification.
Coordinate with PMs, engineers, programmers, and customers.
Provide training on system operation and maintenance.
Complete service reports and commissioning records accurately.
