Job summary

L&H Airco in Rocklin, CA is seeking a Controls System Specialist to field verify our HVAC control systems and ensure they meet design intent. You will collaborate with engineers, programmers, and installers to correct field issues and bring systems online.

The role requires at least five years in industrial/commercial HVAC building automation, experience with various controls systems, and strong verbal/written communication. On-site work and some travel to job sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; Networking and/or Controls Programming college courses or technical school a plus.
• At least five (5) years work experience in industrial/commercial HVAC building automation controls programming and troubleshooting.
• Previous history and proven desire to understand, troubleshoot, and work hands-on with various equipment, electronics, PC hardware, software, databases, processes, networks, and smart integrated devices.
• Working knowledge of Alerton, BlueRidge, Distech, and/or Niagara controls is a plus.
• Verbal and written communication skills; able to work effectively with the public.
• Computer skills: Windows, software installation, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, general programming language, interface software and programming tools.

Responsibilities

• Make corrections to errors in the total design process and communicate and document findings.
• Collaborate with installation electricians to correct field problems and bring unified systems online.
• Gain hands-on knowledge of multiple system deployments and provide support and training for customers.
• Assist with on-site service calls and remote support as needed.
• Contribute to on-call rotation or help desk duties as required.
