Job summary

The Site Safety & Environmental Specialist at Continental Electrical Construction Company will implement, monitor, and improve health, safety, and environmental programs on active construction sites across Illinois. You will collaborate with project teams, supervise field personnel, and coordinate with subcontractors to promote safe work practices and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in safety, environmental science, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years in construction safety, site safety, or environmental compliance.
• CHST certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform site safety inspections, JHAs, and risk assessments.
• Monitor OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and environmental requirements compliance.
• Collaborate with field teams to implement hazard controls (fall protection, electrical safety, etc.).
• Lead safety trainings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning.
• Maintain HSE records, permits, incidents, and training documentation.
• Support environmental permits and SWPPP compliance and audits.
• Assist in emergency response planning and incident investigations.
