Continental Electrical Construction Company seeks an on-site Site Safety & Environmental Specialist to implement, monitor, and improve HSE programs across active Illinois construction sites. You will lead safety and environmental efforts, collaborate with project teams, and promote a proactive safety culture.

The role requires 3–5 years of construction safety experience, OSHA 30, and strong knowledge of 29 CFR 1926. Travel 25–40% within Illinois is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction safety or environmental compliance.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain.
• CHST certification or equivalent preferred.
• Environmental compliance or stormwater certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and related environmental regs.
• Experience supporting safety programs in active construction environments.

Aufgaben

• Conduct site safety inspections, JHAs, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
• Monitor OSHA construction standards and company safety policies on sites.
• Collaborate with field teams to implement hazard controls for fall protection and electrical safety.
• Participate in safety huddles, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning.
• Lead or support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain HSE records, permits, and training documentation.
• Support environmental compliance including SWPPP, spills, and waste management.
• Travel 25–40% within Illinois to active project sites.
