Job summary

Central Contractors Service, located in Alsip, IL, seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to oversee EH&S programs for heavy industry, petrochemical, and construction sites. The role emphasizes independent work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and offers a full-time exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate will monitor crane and rigging safety, enforce regulatory compliance, conduct inspections, and prepare JHAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2 years of related safety experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience in accident investigation.
• Computer literacy in Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of crane and rigging codes and regulations.
• Ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance at sites.
• Conduct regular and random safety inspections at sites.
• Develop site-specific Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
• Deliver safety meetings with management and employees.
