Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an HR Business Partner for Field Operations to support dental practices within an assigned division. The role acts as a trusted advisor to division leadership, practice managers, doctors, and operational leaders on employee matters.

The HRBP will focus on employee relations, investigations, and risk mitigation, and will broaden into workforce planning, talent development, engagement, and organizational effectiveness over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive human resources experience, including employee relations and manager consultation.
• Experience supporting investigations, performance management, corrective action, policy interpretation, and risk assessment.
• Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for the dental practices in an assigned division, building relationships with senior leadership and practice managers.
• Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including performance concerns, attendance, conduct, and policy application.
• Conduct and support workplace investigations; document findings and advise on resolution with HR leadership and Legal as needed.
• Advise leaders on performance management, disciplinary action, involuntary separations, and other employment decisions.
• Interpret and apply company policies and employment laws; identify matters with significant risk.
• Partner with leadership to address employee concerns and improve morale, productivity, and patient experience.
• Coach leaders on communication, documentation, conflict resolution, accountability, and proactive management.
• Support leave, wage/hour, workers' comp, and other compliance matters with HR centers of expertise.
• Monitor workforce trends and provide data-informed recommendations to leadership.
• Collaborate to deliver programs and initiatives consistently across practices.
• Assist engagement and retention by acting on employee feedback and developing action plans.
