Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) seeks Housing Examiners to perform statewide field inspections of rental properties and to review tenant files for income and household eligibility under various housing programs.

The role requires travel across Ohio, attention to detail in inspections, and adherence to IRS, HUD, USDA, HOME, and state regulations. A credential such as SHCM/HCCP/NPCC/TCS is required or in progress, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience as Housing Examiner Trainee and possession or candidacy for professional certification (SHCM, HCCP, NPCC, or TCS)
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Understanding of housing compliance, property management, and rental program requirements
• Job skills: Housing, Property Management, Property Maintenance

Responsabilités

• Travel throughout Ohio to conduct physical compliance inspections of properties in the field
• Complete file inspections/audits in the field or in the office
• Review tenant files for income and household composition requirements designated under multiple affordable housing funding guidelines
