Qualifikationen

• Two years of experience in the construction or maintenance of paved highways, streets, roads, or similar facilities.
• A post-secondary trade school diploma or certificate can substitute for up to one year of non-supervisory experience.
• High school BOCES or VO-TECH courses are not qualifying.
• All candidates must pass a pre-employment physical/medical examination and drug test.

Aufgaben

• Serve as a working supervisor for a highway maintenance crew.
• Operate light and possibly heavy highway trucks and equipment.
• Respond to Snow and Ice related callouts within one hour and maintain work records.
