Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. is seeking a Field Helper to support Fort Lauderdale job sites with welders and technicians. The role involves handling tools, equipment, and materials, and assisting in setup and movement of crane-related gear on strenuous and potentially hazardous environments.

Candidates should be able to read manuals, lift up to 50 pounds, and work from heights with harnesses. Welding experience is preferred, and flexibility for overtime and travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience reading service manuals and manufacturers’ diagrams.
• Able to climb and work at heights with harness.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Welding experience preferred; willingness to learn diverse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Actively support field operations with welders and technicians.
• Assist in preparing and delivering tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Participate in setup, movement, and adjustment of equipment under supervision.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and organization of equipment and work areas.
• Manage inventory and ensure materials and tools are accounted for.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, torches, and welding machines safely.
