Komatsu Southwest seeks a Heavy Equipment Technician (Field) in St. George, UT. This onsite role supports customer facilities, performing maintenance and repairs on construction equipment, cranes, diesel engines, and related heavy machinery.

You will start at the St. George location, then operate a service truck as you gain familiarity with Komatsu operations and OEM products. First shift, Monday–Friday, with competitive compensation and ongoing training opportunities.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Knowledge of database software, Internet software, manufacturing software and order processing systems.
• Uses intuition and experience to complement data.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Reacts well under pressure; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
• Observes safety procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions.
• Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

Responsabilidades

• Complete assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Work safely and follow all KEC/Customer safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases require to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs.
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
• Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.
