Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking an onsite technician in St. George, UT to maintain and repair heavy equipment. You will work first shift Monday–Friday, gaining hands-on experience with diesel engines, cranes, and related systems while training to operate in Komatsu service environments.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate diagnostics, and customer-focused service at customer facilities, with opportunities for career growth as industry technology advances.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Associate Degree in Diesel Technology preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Knowledge of diesel equipment and repair procedures.
• Ability to work safely and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access required databases.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules.
• Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components, test assemblies.
• Provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to customers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and recommend repairs.
• Test and verify correct operation of repairs.
• Apply general failure analysis to determine proper diagnosis.
