Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Equipment Operator to support the construction and installation of landfill gas collection and other environmental control systems. This hands-on field role involves safely operating heavy construction equipment, assisting field crews with site activities and supporting gas well construction.

You will inspect equipment daily, work outdoors at various sites in California, and collaborate with technicians and supervisors to ensure safe, efficient project completion.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Experience operating multiple types of construction equipment (excavators, dozers, backhoes, loaders).
• Strong knowledge of safe heavy-equipment operating practices.
• Experience with excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling.
• Ability to read and understand equipment operating manuals.
• Strong safety awareness on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment for excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling and site development.
• Operate excavators, dozers, backhoes, loaders, graders, forklifts, tractors, dump trucks and similar machinery.
• Support landfill gas well construction by moving, lifting and placing materials during drilling and completion activities.
• Perform excavation and earthmoving around piping and environmental systems.
• Assist with hand excavation near utilities or sensitive areas.
• Complete daily pre-use equipment inspections and report issues.
