Job Summary

This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts both in the shop and in the field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

1. Repair equipment and components, develop repair plans and sequences.
2. Determine necessary parts, materials, and tooling.
3. Perform repairs safely and properly, ensuring quality assurance testing.
4. Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling, daily service, and work orders.
5. Communicate repair progress with supervisors.
6. Manage parts and tool retrievals and returns via company systems.
7. Maintain tools and equipment, including major shop machinery.
8. Use company vehicles and fuel cards responsibly.
9. Keep work areas and vehicles clean and safe.
10. Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
11. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience.
• Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and skills.

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, lift, and communicate effectively. Accommodations can be made for disabilities.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to humid conditions and moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes, weather, extreme temperatures, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
