Job Summary

This position is responsible for the repair of construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop and field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

1. Repair equipment and components, including developing repair plans and sequences.
2. Determine necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
3. Perform repairs safely and properly, with quality assurance testing.
4. Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling, daily service, and work orders.
5. Communicate repair progress with supervisors.
6. Manage parts and tools through company systems.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
8. Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
9. Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience.
• Technician classification based on experience and competence.

Physical Demands

Requires sitting, standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Work Environment

Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving parts, fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, vibration, and noise. Safety is prioritized.
