Location

This position is for the Bluffton, Beaufort, and Savannah areas.

Compensation

Up to $5000 Sign-on BONUS!

Job Summary

This role involves repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts both in the shop and in the field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities
  • Repair equipment and components, develop repair plans and sequences.
  • Determine necessary parts, materials, and tooling.
  • Perform repairs safely and correctly, conducting quality assurance testing.
  • Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling, service reports, and work orders.
  • Communicate repair progress to supervisors.
  • Manage parts and tools through company systems and maintain proper care of equipment and tools.
  • Use company vehicles and fuel cards responsibly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or G.E.D., or an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four years of apprenticeship experience. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and skills.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for handling and feeling objects. Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, lift, and crouch. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
