Job Summary:

This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in both shop and field settings. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities:

1. Repair equipment and components, including:
2. Developing repair plans and sequences
3. Determining necessary parts, materials, and tools
4. Performing repairs safely and correctly, with quality assurance testing
5. Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling usage, daily service, and work completion
6. Communicate repair progress with supervisors
7. Manage parts and materials through the company's systems
8. Maintain and care for tools and equipment, including shop machinery
9. Use company vehicles, service trucks, and fuel cards responsibly
10. Keep work areas and vehicles clean and safe
11. Follow all safety and company policies
12. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Education, Experience, and Skills:

High School Diploma or G.E.D., or an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four years of apprenticeship experience. Technician classification depends on experience and competence.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for handling and feeling. Also, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, lift, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
