Job summary

PROtect, LLC is seeking a Heat Treat Technician to join our team. This role performs heat treatment services on industrial components, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with field heat treatment equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in challenging industrial environments. Travel to job sites may be required, and familiarity with PWHT is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in heat treatment or related industrial heating.
• Familiar with resistance and induction heating methods.
• Knowledge of metallurgy, welding, and safety practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heat treatment equipment per specifications.
• Monitor temperature controls, heating elements, and cycles.
• Perform on-site heat treatment services including PWHT.
• Document treatment parameters and results.
• Inspect workpieces before and after treatment.
• Adhere to safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot heat treatment equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and customers.
