Na Alii is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to support company-wide health and safety initiatives. The role ensures regulatory compliance, promotes safe practices, conducts hazard assessments, and supports incident investigations across multiple sites.

The position emphasizes OSHA, USACE EM 385-1-1, and EPA standards, with a focus on environment, demolition, and remediation projects, including hazardous materials handling. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or related field preferred.
• ASP/CHST/CSP/CIH certification preferred or required.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification current or able to obtain.
• OSHA 30-hour General Industry or Construction within last 5 years.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA), Risk Assessments (RA) and hazard identification for project activities.
• Conduct safety audits, provide on-site recommendations, implement interim mitigation and corrective actions, publish reports, and follow up on discrepancies across Nakupuna projects.
• Oversee hazardous material handling, sampling, remediation, and disposal activities.
• Provide safety training (HAZWOPER refreshers, General Industry, Construction) and assist OSHA reporting and incident investigations.
• Prepare technical reports, Root Cause Analyses (RCA), and corrective action plans.
