Job summary

PUSH, Inc. is a private premier telecom infrastructure contractor based in Rice Lake, WI, recruiting a CDL HDD Operator/Locator. The role focuses on safe installation of cables using horizontal directional drilling and requires experience with HDD around utilities in various environments. Training and mentoring teammates are part of the duties.

Applicants should be able to travel, work outdoors in all weather, read schematics, and maintain equipment. CDL is required for this field position.

Qualifications

• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Ability to read prints and schematics; knowledge of utility construction procedures.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings and work in team environments.

Responsibilities

• Operates Directional Bore equipment for installation of underground cable conduit or utilities.
• Ensure proper steering based on job preparations.
• Operates equipment to conform to grade alignment specifications.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide drilling data to the customer.
• Follow safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; perform routine maintenance.
• Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Assist with basic labor tasks and ensure site setup/cleanup including traffic control.
