Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Hazardous Materials Logistics Specialist to execute logistics and hazardous materials operations across field locations in New Mexico, coordinating with sites, carriers, vendors, and operations teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of explosives, hazmat transportation/storage, DOT/OSHA/ATF requirements, and the ability to build practical processes and training programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, materials operations, transportation or related field.
• Current hazardous shipping certification (49CFR and IATA)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience owning shipping, receiving, logistics, or material-transfer execution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hazardous materials shipments and verify appropriate documentation, packaging, labeling, shipping and transportation requirements.
• Be physically present at field locations as needed to support logistics activities and troubleshoot operational challenges.
• Support compliance inspections, audits, and site reviews related to hazardous materials, transportation and storage.
• Maintain a strong focus on safe material handling and transportation practices.
• Assist with loading, unloading, staging, storage, and movement activities as appropriate and within applicable safety requirements.
