Job summary

Transfyr is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to bridge our physical AI platform with real laboratory environments. You will lead hardware procurement, assembly, and end-to-end field deployment at customer sites, collaborating with scientists to solve complex experimental problems and ensure the platform meets their realities.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, conduct robustness testing, and translate field learnings into concrete requirements.

Qualifications

• Deployment and networking installations experience.
• Experience working directly with customers to identify pain points and deliver technical solutions.
• Familiarity with sensor integration (vision, IoT) and edge systems.
• Experience with data transfer from edge to cloud and infrastructure management.
• Curiosity for science and understanding processes in experimental settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing and physical assembly of hardware for field deployments.
• Own end-to-end installation and setup at customer sites; resolve site-specific challenges.
• Collaborate with scientists to tailor sensor placements and edge solutions.
• Translate field feedback into requirements for Hardware, Software, and AI/ML teams.
• Drive customer success by surfacing quick wins from platform data.
