Job summary

Ziegler CAT is seeking a full-time Construction Technology Support Specialist to provide technical support to customers, field service technicians and sales staff regarding the current technology product line. The role focuses on helping internal and external customers use equipment in the field, including installation, troubleshooting and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to train new users.
• Ability to learn heavy equipment operation for demonstration and training.
• Customer service oriented attitude.
• Knowledge/experience with Construction Technology such as Trimble, AccuGrade, CAT Grade Control.
• Technical understanding of computer networks, systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Represent Ziegler technology grade control products to customers.
• Collaborate with product managers to improve current offerings.
• Coordinate with field technicians to improve field repairs and communicate troubleshooting standards.
• Work with technical team on component support initiatives and warranty issues.
• Prepare equipment for customer sales and sometimes lift/move bulky equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot technology in the field and demonstrate usage to customers.
• Communicate with manufacturers for common failure causes and product life information.
• Resolve customer problems via phone, site visits, or office calls.
• Remove and install GPS equipment to diagnose issues.
• Assist in classroom training with Training Coordinator for Ziegler University of Position Technology.
• Provide back-up sales support when the product manager is unavailable.
