Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical/environmental engineering; 1–2 years of related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of construction methods, site safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in field and office environments and travel as needed.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze pile behavior using dynamic testing, wave equation analyses and signal matching techniques.
• Conduct field testing and monitor piles with instrumentation (pile analyzers, strain gauges, accelerometers, pile integrity testers).
• Estimate project costs and feasibility from data analyses.
• Attend meetings to present technical data to clients and professionals.
• Prepare or direct reports, specifications, plans, testing schedules and designs.
• Inspect construction sites to ensure conformance to test plans, specifications and safety standards.
• Participate in R&D to improve methodologies and tools for pile dynamics.
• Direct project-site activities when required.
• Use CAD/CAE software to prepare engineering documents.
• Must be willing to travel within the State of Florida.
• Other duties may be assigned.
