UES is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to plan, design, and direct engineering testing projects—from predevelopment to geotechnical design and civil design support. Responsibilities include data analysis, costing, client presentations, and field inspections.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s preferred) and about two years of experience. Extensive travel (~70%) to project sites is expected; strong math and blueprint-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required.
  • Master’s degree (M.S.) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
  • Two years of experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and data to plan and design projects.
  • Prepares cost proposals and designs scope of work for prospective clients.
  • Calculates cost and determines feasibility based on data analysis.
  • Attends meetings to present technical data to clients and professionals.
  • Prepares and directs reports, specifications, plans, testing schedules, and designs.
  • Inspects construction sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance with plans and safety standards.
  • Supports construction materials testing in the field.
  • Directs project site activities as needed.
  • Uses computer-assisted design software to prepare engineering documents.
