Job summary

Terracon in Nashville seeks a Geologist/Hydrogeologist to evaluate subsurface data, generate maps and cross-sections, and collaborate on environmental and geologic site investigations. You will oversee field monitoring and soil testing, interpreting data to support remediation and design activities.

The role involves preparing written plans and reports, and coordinating with engineers and environmental scientists on projects that may include earthwork, well design, and Phase assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Certification in field of expertise (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and pre-task planning; report safety concerns.
• Maintain quality standards on projects.
• Conduct site testing and supervise field staff.
• Perform site visits, data collection and observations.
• Develop written proposals for clients and senior review.
• Evaluate laboratory and field data and compile reports.
• Participate in client meetings and project coordination.
• Oversee work of junior Geologists/Hydrogeologists.
