Job summary

UES is seeking a Field Staff Geologist to support subsurface investigations, environmental site assessments, and remediation projects in field settings. You will log soils and rocks, oversee drilling and sampling operations, and document conditions to support reporting and regulatory compliance.

Travel up to 70% is expected as you coordinate with subcontractors and project teams. A Bachelor’s in Geology and FG certification are required, with OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and field-safety training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related Earth sciences.
• 0–2 years field experience preferred (internships ok).
• FG certification required; pursuing PG licensure may be noted by state.

Responsibilities

• Support subsurface investigations and site assessments in field.
• Log soil/rock borings per standards and procedures.
• Collect soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapor samples with proper chain-of-custody.
