Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our Resilience Environment team in Cary, NC or Raleigh, NC. The role combines field and office work, with up to 90% of time in the field and regional travel.

You will support Project Managers and Task Managers in environmental site characterization, investigation and remediation, assist with subcontractors, data analysis and report writing, and gain mentorship for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or closely related field required.
• Master's degree in Geology or closely related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist PMs/TMs in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation and remediation.
• Oversee drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well installation during fieldwork.
• Prepare subcontracts, write technical reports and work plans.
• Conduct field sampling (soil, groundwater, vapor) with health and safety focus.
• Travel regionally within the U.S. for multiple weeks at a time.
