Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Geologist or Environmental Scientist for a full-time role in Baton Rouge/New Orleans, LA. The candidate will perform field sampling, supervise drilling, and support remedial system operations while ensuring strict health and safety standards.

Travel and fieldwork are required, up to 70-90% at times, with hotel stays possible. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential in a client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Geology, Geosciences, or Environmental Science.
• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soil, groundwater, air, and environmental media sampling per regulations.
• Oversee field investigations and drilling operations including monitoring wells and soil borings.
• Support remedial systems and in-situ treatments; operate groundwater recovery systems.
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate with project teams to ensure project execution.
• Prepare reports, work plans, figures, maps, and boring logs for deliverables.
