Job summary

Mabbett & Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Geologist/Environmental Engineer/Environmental Scientist to support its SAR practice in the Washington DC region.

The role covers ESAs, RI/FS, remediation system design and long-term operation, with site supervision and data interpretation under senior guidance. The candidate will work with project managers, staff, and clients, with opportunities for travel across the US Northeast/East Coast.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Sciences.
• 5 years of progressive experience in site assessment/remediation under CERCLA/RCRA/state programs.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors including labs, drillers, surveyors, and geophysics.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and 8-hour refresher certifications required.
• Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; GIS/AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary non-intrusive assessments and site investigations.
• Oversee monitoring well installation and remedial action activities.
• Interpret geological and laboratory data; prepare reports and memos.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and regulators.
• Travel to projects regionally and nationally as needed.
