Job summary

Stratus is seeking an Environmental Scientist to work under senior supervision, conducting site assessments and subsurface investigations for environmental projects. The role involves fieldwork at various locations, data collection, reporting, and travel to project sites as needed.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and 2+ years of consulting experience, strong writing skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related disciplines.
• 2+ years of professional services consulting experience in environmental investigations and compliance.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating field activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental assessments and investigations including UST, PADEP Act II, and ESAs.
• Monitor subsurface exploration and collect soil, groundwater, and related data.
• Perform soil, air, and groundwater sampling following standards.
• Prepare written reports, proposals, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate subcontractors during field activities and assist with project planning.
